The Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival is England’s biggest festival for new and experimental music. The festival has built a great tradition and presents about 50 concerts in 10 days. Since 2007 HCMF has made a strong commitment to contemporary Dutch music culture show, including Dutch ensembles, musicians and composers in the programme. I have contributed to some of these editions with a Dutch focus. In 2007, the HCMF opened with a Night of the Unexpected.
